Bird and Shane
by Mike on Apr.24, 2009, under Photos, Project 365
On Wednesday I got in my car and drove along the road that follows the Tulpehocken River, along the way I spotted a heron hanging out on the banks. I quickly turned my car around, pulled off the road, and grabbed my camera. I spent the next half hour sneaking closer and closer to the bird. I have taken to bribing my friends to let me take their portraits using beer. The first one was a few days ago when I took my roommate’s picture. Thursday I bribed my friend Shane into letting me take his picture for my 365. I’m trying to go 20 days without taking a picture of myself, Shane was day 8.

I like this picture so much it deserves its own post. To take this I simply put a sheet up on my wall, arranged my 5 bulb lamp directly in front of me with the camera just below that. Few snaps and some photoshop work later this is what I got. 131/365

On Sunday Santa made his rounds on a fire-truck through the area neighborhoods. I ran outside to snap a picture and Daisy got herself a doggie treat. Todays picture is me all packed up and ready to go home tomorrow. Time for some relaxation before my last semester as a Penn State student.
